When I was a boy, manga was my escape. The energy, the action, the heroes—it lit something inside me. But every time I looked closer, I saw the same truth: the heroes never looked like me.

That pain cut deep. But pain is fuel. And I realized—if the world won’t give us heroes who carry our face, our soul, our culture… then we have to create them ourselves.

That’s when it hit me: Black + Manga = Blanga. A new genre. A new lane. A space where our stories wear the cape. Where Hip-Hop isn’t just the soundtrack, it’s the source of superpowers. Where the Nine Elements are the keys to saving the world.

Blanga is not just for me. It's for The Ancestors, who look down on us with pride. It’s for every Black youth who’s ever flipped through pages searching for themselves. It’s for every fan dreaming of equality. It’s for a generation ready to see itself reflected in power, in vision, in victory.
